Title: Regional Human Resource ManagerLocation: Columbia, South Carolina and Surrounding AreaPOSITION SUMMARY:The Regional HR Manager (RHRM) develops and executes Partner Services (PS) programs to support and improve the daily operations of their region. The RHRM works in partnership with corporate (Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, etc.) and Culture to provide a high level of service to the region served. The Consultant works in partnership with the Corporate/Culture/Operations groups to deliver strategic business goals and Partner Services strategic initiatives.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Partners with assigned region to identify, develop and promote programs and solutions that meet strategic business objectives such as reduction in turnover, reduction in overtime, increased partner engagement, etc. Functions as a business advisor to hiring managers in his/her assigned business unit regarding key organizational and management issues including employee relations. Responsible for retention in their assigned region. Pull partner data, work with AVP, Administrator and local leadership and culture team to create action plans to address retention issues. Monitor and follow up on progress made. Identifies supervisory and line manager coaching and training needs. Directly delivers appropriate coaching solutions or works with Training and Development to secure internal or external training resources where possible. Participates in union avoidance activities within region as requested. Partners with SVP of Partner Services on Compensation/Total Rewards issues to ensure positions are graded and leveled appropriately. Assists with drafting of job descriptions, ensures all documentation is in place and Job Evaluation packet is complete and makes initial recommendation. Reviews offers outside of Compensation guidelines and works with SVP of Partner Services to approve. Facilitates Partner Services training programs in the field. Mentors field HR/FC partners, ensuring they are kept informed of new partner services programs. Uses HRIS technology to provide strategic decision-making data to management. Oversees the conflict resolution process by assisting employees and managers in settling work related conflicts in accordance with policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS:Compensation will be commensurate with experience. All levels of experience will be considered; however, relevant past experience is preferred.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field or equivalent work experience. Current Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SPHR certification preferred. Extensive knowledge of HR core competencies â recruiting, benefits, compensation, technology, training, organizational development, and learning and development. Strong working knowledge of local, state and federal employment law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present in front of groups. Strong knowledge of current technical applications including MS Office Suite; ability to pick up new software programs with ease.
