Title: Executive Director of FinanceLocation: Norcross, GAPOSITION SUMMARY:The Executive Director of Finance for Health Services is responsible for oversight and managing the general accounting functions of the Health Services Department including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting. They will also be expected to keep the days sales outstanding at established goal, maintain peak cash velocity and produce accurate financial statements in a timely manner. Extensive experience and judgment will be required to plan and accomplish goals. The Executive Director of Finance for Health Services is expected to demonstrate through plans and actions, that there is a standard of consistency and excellence that the Departmental teams are expected to achieve while providing both knowledge and support to the Departmental teams in order to help them reach their goals. While the major focus will be on financial performance and accounting, the Executive Director of Finance for Health Services will develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Vice President, Assistant Vice Presidents, Executive Directors for the Health Services Department and Administrators for whose healthcare offices are served by each Health Services Financial team. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Â· Management oversight of the day to day work of general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and clerical staff.Â· Hire or assist in hiring new partners to fill vacancies on the Departmental teams; follow disciplinary procedures as needed for current partners.Â· Management oversight of month-end close process for ARBilling and Accounting.Â· Review and ensure accuracy of departmental Balance Sheet and Income Statements.Â· Oversight and review of monthly financial variance reports for the Vice President, Assistant Vice Presidents, and Executive Directors and to also assist with operational financial review. Review analysis for trends and assist Regional Financial Manager in assistance to VP, AVP, ED, and Administrators in plan of correction development for agencies that do not meet budget or large net income (loss).Â· Review tracking and progress of accounts receivable partners in clearing outstanding AR balances.Â· Work with both Financial and Operational Teams and partners to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures related to financial and business office activities.Â· Monitor Billing practices to ensure compliance with state and federal regulationsÂ· Oversight of Teams' audit preparation including routine reportsÂ· Makes decision based on rational assumptions.Â· Reviews internal audits and procedures for accuracyÂ· Assist in setting dates and topics for training sessions.Â· Assist in preparing and giving training sessions or individual for agency and accounting staff.Â· Identify, diagnose and propose solutions to problems as they occur.Â· Review performance and internal auditing procedures for general accounting partners that will also be used as a tool for partner job performance.LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required. MBA or CPA preferred 3 â 5 years of experience in accounting or related field 2 - 4 years of supervisory experience required A minimum, two (2) years of experience in a reimbursement capacity in a hospital, long-term carecenter, or healthcare setting, with management duties and responsibilities.
