Title: Staff AccountantLocation: Norcross, GAPOSITION SUMMARY:Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, cost, and revenues. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the position. Works under general supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. This position will function within a team environment which will encompass all financial functions of the long term care business including but not limited to: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Resident Trust, Human Resources and Payroll. Successful individuals will be able to work well with other team members to meet or exceed financial goals set by the organization.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Complete and maintain general ledger reports via PeopleSoft and reporting.· Reconcile and maintain bank accounts.· Analyze financial statements for variations in actual to budgeted expenses to assist Regional Financial Manager and Assistant Vice President in explaining variances.· Act as a liaison between facility/agency and corporate office in accounting area.· Reconcile balance sheet accounts for accuracy.· Assist with audit preparation.· Work with AP to ensure general ledger account numbers are consistent with accounting guidelines and cost reporting standards.· Provide additional support during staffing shortage or growth.· Manage general ledger month end close process.· Analyze expenses for accruals.LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
